Underlying this series is my long-standing attraction to knots and tangles – their tactile quality and their association with physicality. Their expression suggests many things that resonate with me – from spontaneous gestures of action, energy, or music, to an expression of complexity, entanglements, and a coalescence of randomness. Isolated in this series they engage in dialogue with shadow forms and empty space..
